India Malabar

India Malabar (also known as Monsooned Malabar) is one of the most distinctive coffees in the world, originating from the Malabar coast of southwest India. Its particularity comes from a unique traditional process: after harvesting, the beans are exposed to the humid monsoon winds for several weeks, until they swell and take on a pale golden color. This natural treatment almost completely reduces the acidity and gives rise to a warm, intense and unmistakable profile. In the cup, India Malabar stands out for its ample and velvety body, with very low acidity and a dense, almost syrupy texture. The aromas are rich and earthy, with notes of dark chocolate, wood, spices and a discreet accent of roasted hazelnut. The finish is long, round and slightly sweet, without a trace of astringency. It is an ideal coffee for intense and creamy espresso, but also for those who prefer a strong cup, without acidity, with a special personality.
